Ford Motor Company Appoints New Vice PresidentDEARBORN, Mich., Feb. 19 -- Louise Goeser has been appointed vice president, Quality for Ford Motor Company . Goeser, who joins Ford effective March 1, was most recently with the Whirlpool Corporation, a leading consumer products company in Benton Harbor, Mich. She held a variety of leadership positions there, including vice president, Corporate Quality and general manager of the Refrigerator Product Team. Before Whirlpool, Goeser held several leadership positions with Westinghouse Electric Corporation of Pittsburgh. Goeser also has been actively involved in the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Awards, serving as a senior examiner and a judge. "Louise brings a wealth of experience from her previous positions with Whirlpool and Westinghouse," said Jacques Nasser, president and chief executive officer, Ford Motor Company. "Ford is committed to superior quality and providing the best total value to consumers as a key element of our vision to become the world's leading consumer company that provides automotive products and services. Goeser earned a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) in 1974. She earned a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in 1989.
