Schreiber Named President of Textron's Fluid Handling Products

Schreiber Named President of Textron's Fluid Handling Products; Newly-Formed Fluid Handling Products Integrates Textron's David Brown Union Pump and Maag Pump Systems businesses
PROVIDENCE, R.I.--Feb. 18, 1999--Textron Inc. today announced that effective February 1, 1999, Gregory Schreiber has been named President of its newly-formed Fluid Handling Products, part of Textron's Fluid & Power Systems Group. Fluid Handling Products, based in Battle Creek, Michigan, combines the operations of David Brown Union Pump, part of UK-based David Brown Group plc acquired by Textron in October, 1998, and Maag Pump Systems, a leading Swiss industrial pump manufacturer bought by Textron in 1997.
Since 1986, Schreiber, 47, has held various management positions at Emerson Electric, most recently as President of ASCO Valves America, a business unit of Emerson's Automatic Switch Company.
"Greg's range of industrial operations and management experience will be invaluable as Textron's Fluid Handling Products continues to expand into new markets and develop innovative new products," said Textron Fluid & Power Systems Group President Bob Geckle.
Schreiber was Chief Financial Officer of Emerson Electric's Branson Ultrasonics Corporation from 1986 to 1988. Between 1988 and 1994, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Emerson Power Transmission. In 1994, he became Chief Financial Officer of Emerson's ASCO Valves America, a post he held until being named its President in 1996.
Schreiber graduated from St. Frances College with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
