Hertz to Be the Exclusive Car Rental Company for Harrah's Total Gold Program - Program Kicks-Off with Opportunity to Earn Extra Total Gold Points -
    PARK RIDGE, N.J., Feb. 17 -- Effective March 1, 1999, The
Hertz Corporation , the world's largest car rental company, joins
Harrah's Total Gold Program as the exclusive car rental provider for program
members.  The agreement will provide Total Gold members the opportunity to
earn Total Gold Points when renting a car from Hertz.  To kickoff the
agreement, Total Gold members will have the opportunity to earn an additional
400 Total Gold Points for each Hertz Leisure Weekend Rate rental through May
31, 1999.
    Harrah's Total Gold members are eligible to earn one Total Gold Point per
$2 spent on all qualifying Hertz rentals.  To earn points, the Harrah's Total
Gold identification number must be presented at time of reservation, check-in
or check-out, and rentals must take place at a participating Hertz location in
the US.  All standard rental qualifications apply.
    From March 1 through May 31, 1999, Total Gold card members have the
opportunity to earn 400 additional Total Gold Points with each Hertz Leisure
Weekend Rate rental.  To receive the extra Total Gold Points, Promotion Code
(PC#): 900605 must be mentioned at time of reservation.  The additional Total
Gold Points are available on all car class rentals, at all participating Hertz
US locations.  Blackout dates may apply.

    Points will not be awarded on taxes, fuel or fees, but will be earned on
most of Hertz' other optional services such as Loss Damage Waiver and
Liability Insurance Supplement.  Rentals that involve tour packages, travel
industry discounts, or frequent flyer awards are not eligible for points.
