Federal-Mogul Appoints Robert Lesko, Assistant Controller, Corporate FinanceSOUTHFIELD, Mich., Feb. 16 -- Kenneth Slaby, vice president- controller, Corporate Finance, Federal-Mogul Corporation , announces the appointment of Robert Lesko to the position of assistant controller, responsible for the St. Louis Shared Financial Services Center, effective immediately. Lesko will report directly to Slaby. Lesko will have responsibility for general accounting, accounts payable, payroll, and inventory and distribution accounting for the former Cooper and Moog Automotive facilities. He will also manage the financial consolidations for the domestic and international business units supported by the combined organization. "Bob brings the right combination of experience and talent that will be needed to combine these two financial organizations," said Slaby. "We will be able to take advantage of synergies that will enable us to provide superior service to our internal customers at lower cost to the organization." Prior to this appointment, Lesko held the position of director, division accounting services, Cooper Automotive. In 1988, Lesko was hired as manager, financial systems integration, with Champion Spark Plug. Lesko spent fifteen years in positions of increasing responsibility with Champion and later, Cooper Automotive. Lesko earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Cleveland State University, Cleveland, Ohio.
