Dattilo Elected to Cooper Tire Board
FINDLAY, Ohio--Feb. 16, 1999--COOPER TIRE & RUBBER COMPANY today announced the election of Thomas A. Dattilo, Cooper's president and chief operating officer to Cooper's board of directors for a term expiring in 2001, filling the unexpired term of J. Alec Reinhardt who retired from the company effective February 15, 1999.Mr. Dattilo was named Cooper president and COO on January 4, 1999. Prior to joining Cooper, he was president, sealing products for the Dana Corporation, Toledo, Ohio, one of the world's largest manufacturers of components and systems for the aftermarket vehicle and industrial sectors. Overall, Dattilo has spent more than 21 years in the automotive parts business.
Mr. Dattilo's background includes a B.A. from The Ohio State University and a J.D. from The University of Toledo. He also completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. He is a member of the Young President's Organization (YPO) and is past chairman of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association.
