Porsche Cars North America Selects Carmichael Lynch as its Advertising Agency
ATLANTA, Feb. 15 -- Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) today
officially announced the selection of Carmichael Lynch of Minneapolis,
Minnesota, as its advertising agency effective immediately.
The selection of Carmichael Lynch followed two days of pitch meetings
involving it and four other agencies. For these meetings, each agency was
given the assignment of developing a communications strategy that projects and
reflects the Porsche image and incorporates the future Porsche SUV.
"We chose Carmichael Lynch because we feel their people have a clear
understanding of the Porsche brand," commented Richard Ford, PCNA's chief
operating officer. "They know the emotional appeal of our products, and
understand what motivates our customers to purchase them.
"They are also in agreement with our business philosophy. They understand
the niche marketing concepts of companies our size as well as the need to
include dealers in the sales and marketing equation."
Carmichael Lynch will provide PCNA with communications strategy, as well
as planning and creative work, across all marketing disciplines including
advertising, direct marketing, and dealer support, for Porsche's present and
future sports car lines and its SUV scheduled to debut as a 2002 model.
