Southeast Toyota Commitment To Customer Satisfaction Pays Off As 16 Toyota Dealerships in Region Are Honored by J.D. Power and Associates
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 12 -- Sixteen Toyota dealerships in the
five-state region managed by Southeast Toyota Distributors have been awarded
"J.D. Power and Associates Certified Retailer Status" for consistently
delivering an outstanding sales experience to their customers. The
announcement was made here today at the National Automobile Dealers
Association (NADA) convention.
With a national total of 49 certified automobile dealerships, the success
of 16 Toyota dealerships in the five states of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and
North and South Carolina is a huge achievement for Southeast Toyota
Distributors, the independent distribution firm that is part of JM Family
Enterprises, Deerfield Beach, Fla.
Recognition of so many dealerships by J.D. Power and Associates is the
latest milestone in a major effort by Southeast Toyota Distributors to refocus
its dealer network on customer satisfaction and quality. The company launched
its Toyota Quality Experience (TQE) program in 1997 with the goal of creating
industry-leading customer experiences and loyalty in sales and service.
"Our dealers have worked hard to improve the customer's sales experience,
and certification by J.D. Power and Associates shows the scope of their
success," said Pat Moran, president and CEO of JM Family Enterprises/Southeast
Toyota Distributors. "We also want to congratulate the associates of JM Lexus
who remain committed to achieving the highest possible levels of customer
satisfaction."
For the second year, JM Family Enterprises' JM Lexus dealership in
Margate, Fla., earned the "Certified Retailer" designation from J.D. Power and
Associates.
All of the certified dealerships have met stringent benchmark criteria
established by J.D. Power and Associates, the Agoura Hills, Calif., firm
widely known for its independent analysis of automobile quality and customer
satisfaction.
As an independent third party, J.D. Power and Associates conducts a random
sampling of a dealership's recent new car buyers. Dealerships may earn the
"Certified Retailer" designation for one year and continue to be monitored to
ensure that their high levels of sales satisfaction are maintained.
The announcement today dispels the myth that only luxury car dealers can
achieve high levels of satisfaction, as previous certification announcements
have mostly included dealerships of luxury cars.
As part of its TQE program, Southeast Toyota employs area quality managers
to work with individual dealerships to improve overall dealer quality. TQE
includes significant training and utilizes the independent survey results
prepared by J.D. Power and Associates to help identify areas of special focus.
