The program, sponsored by the SAE Foundation, underwrites the cost of bringing these young engineering educators to the SAE International Congress and Exposition or the SAE World Aviation Congress. Ralph Teetor was the 1936 SAE president who had a deep interest in engineering education. He was also a distinguished inventor, engineer and widely acknowledged statesman throughout the early growth and development of the automotive industry. Established in 1963, the Teetor program has provided an unparalleled opportunity for more than 800 engineering educators to develop a better understanding and closer relationship with practicing engineers. The SAE Congress is the world's largest showcase of automotive engineering technologies. The event, which runs March 1-4, features more than 1,100 exhibiting companies, including 90 percent of the world's top 25 suppliers.
