Japanese corporations are just beginning to take advantage of the benefits of outsourcing broad facility management responsibilities to a single supplier. The partnership provides Johnson Controls with the personnel and infrastructure to serve the Japanese facilities of its global customers, as well as to begin serving major Japanese corporations. Johnson Controls will transfer its strategic best practices and proprietary technologies from around the world to the new partnership, including its 'Prophet facility benchmarking database, which contains information on over 600 million square feet of facilities from around the world. TBK-Johnson Controls will use the database to benchmark clients' facilities, make performance-enhancing recommendations, and implement the best practices from the best performing Johnson Controls clients worldwide.
