DaimlerChrysler Appoints Jacobs Vice President, Latin American RegionAUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 8 -- DaimlerChrysler has announced the appointment of Mykle Jacobs as Vice President - Latin American Region. In this position, Jacobs is responsible for all the company's operations in the Caribbean, Central and South America. He reports to Theodor Cunningham, Executive Vice President for Chrysler International, Latin America and Truck Operations. Jacobs joined the former Chrysler Corporation in 1971 as a District Sales Manager in the Chicago Zone Office, and has held a variety of positions in sales, service, marketing and distribution, including: National Merchandising Manager - Dodge; General Sales Manager - Chrysler Canada; General Service Manager - Field Operations; and Director - Field Serviceability. Jacobs replaces Edwin H. Brust, who has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Chrysler Canada Ltd. Jacobs, aged 51, is a native of Iron Mountain, Michigan. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Ferris State University.
