Federal-Mogul Appoints Ben James, Director, Business Development, Sintered ProductsSOUTHFIELD, Mich., Feb. 4 -- Frank Tomes, executive vice president, General Products, Federal-Mogul Corporation , announces the appointment of Ben James to the position of director, business development, Sintered Products, effective immediately. James will report directly to Chris Note, vice president, Sintered Products. James will have responsibility for acquisitions and business joint ventures on behalf of Sintered Products. "I am pleased that Ben has accepted this newly created and challenging role concentrating on joint ventures and acquisitions," said Tomes. "This is a strategic role in the further expansion of our worldwide Sintered Products activities." Since 1993, James previously held the position of managing director, Sintered Products, North America operations. Previously, James worked with Sintered Products in Coventry, United Kingdom, where he started in 1972 as training and safety officer, rising to quality director and manufacturing director. James earned a certificate in machine engineering, a certificate in industrial management at Coventry Business College and a diploma in occupational health and safety at Coventry Polytechnic.
