DaimlerChrysler Corporation Reports International Sales For Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth and Jeep(R) Brands

    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 3 -- DaimlerChrysler
announced that total sales for the Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth and Jeep(R)
brands outside of North America were down 17 percent for the month of January,
with 12,859 units sold, compared to 15,571 units sold one year ago.
    Sales of those brands in Europe were 6,798, a 17 percent decrease over
sales of 8,168 units during the same month last year.  Other regions including
Latin America, with sales of 3,583 units sold, a 5 percent decrease from last
year, Asia/Pacific, with 1,658 units sold, a 31 percent decrease, and Middle
East/Africa, with 820 units sold, a 34 percent decrease.
