Porsche Reports Best January U.S. Sales In Twelve Years

 Sales Reflect a 69% Gain Driven by Strong Increases in Both 911 and Boxster

    ATLANTA, Feb. 3 -- Porsche Cars North America, importer and
distributor of Porsche sports cars in the United States, today announced sales
and stock figures for the month of January 1999.  Figures reflect a 77%
increase in sales for the Boxster, and 58% increase for Porsche 911 sales.
The result contributes to a 87% increase for the 1999 calendar year to
date.
