Goodyear and Sumitomo to Host Media Briefing to Discuss Global Alliance

    NEW YORK--Feb. 3, 1999--The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. invite you to attend a press conference this morning to discuss their far-reaching global alliance announced this morning. Goodyear's chairman, CEO and president Sam Gibara and Sumitomo's president, Naoto Saito, will discuss this innovative alliance and how it will create the global leader in the tire industry.
