Isuzu Celebrates New Year With Top January Retail Sales
WHITTIER, Calif.--(AutomotiveWire)--Feb. 2, 1999--American Isuzu Motors Inc. (AIMI) celebrates a new year with a 24 percent retail sales increase over last January, with total vehicle sales reaching 6,697.January pickup sales was at its highest since 1994.
The Hombre began 1999 with a 147 percent increase over last January with 1,463 units posted. The Trooper enjoyed a 14 percent increase over last January at 1,022 units. The Amigo posted 868 units, its highest January ever, including the old and the reintroduced models, a testimony to the positive market acceptance of this stylish new sport-ute. The top seller was still the Rodeo at 3,264 units.
American Isuzu Motors Inc.'s light vehicles are distributed through a network of 550 dealers across the United States.
