Production Capacity Improved with Restructuring of Production Facilities, and Establishment of Production Teams
SAN DIEGO--Feb. 2, 1999--Laforza Automobiles, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: LFZA - news) announced today the addition of a new team leader for vehicle production.
Mark Straka has joined Laforza and will head the production efforts for the Laforza Sports Utility Vehicle. "Mark is a skilled professional with extensive experience in building quality vehicles. With the addition of Mark to our already talented production staff, we can now focus on meeting the growing customer demands for the Laforza S.U.V. and Monster Miata lines," said President David Hops. "Mark is a great addition to our team," Hops added.
Straka's experience includes, chief mechanic at Alan Johnson Racing, Alan Johnson Porsche/Audi and Kearney Mesa Volkswagon. He also holds many ASE certifications, has factory training from several large auto manufacturers, and is an expert in specialty fabrication. "The Laforza is an exceptional vehicle. I am excited about working with the Laforza team. We have already begun the transition to cellular production methods," said Straka.
"With the addition of Mark, we have two team leaders and two production teams. We are committed to expanding on our success with Laforza, but now our Monster Motorsports team led by Mr. John Smith can focus their energy on Monsters (a high-performance car based upon the Mazda Miata)," said General Manager Skip Braden. Smith adds, "I am thrilled about the company's commitment to the Monster Miata line. With the addition of Mark, the Monster team can start delivering on our order backlog."
Laforza is preparing to for its annual shareholder meeting. "We have made a lot of progress in the last few months, and I am excited about the direction of the company," said Hops. "We recognize our communications with our shareholders have been limited, and we are committed to improving those communications in 1999," he added.
