Visteon Restructures Sales and Service Team to Deliver Customer Success
DEARBORN, Mich., Jan. 29 -- In an effort to ensure Visteon's
customers have the same sales experience worldwide and to align business
operations with their needs, Visteon Automotive Systems is reorganizing its
sales and service team into three unique global organizations focused on
distinct automotive markets and clients.
Visteon is establishing separate global account teams to handle Ford Motor
Company , other global automotive manufacturers and aftermarket
dealers and distributors. The teams will be lead by three newly appointed
vice presidents who will report directly to Visteon President Craig
Muhlhauser.
Dave Doster is appointed vice president of the Global Ford Account with
responsibility for servicing Ford business. Roseann Stevens is named vice
president of Global OE Accounts, with responsibility for servicing global
original equipment and Tier One customers. David Peace is appointed vice
president of Global Aftermarket Operations with responsibility for developing
an extensive aftermarket organization.
"These three individuals have been crucial to Visteon's rapid growth and
success over the past year," said Muhlhauser. "They lead teams which helped
Visteon acquire $2.3 billion in new business, exceeding our objective of $1.5
billion.
"As Visteon moves forward, these individuals are responsible for exceeding
customer expectations and providing technology solutions of value to end
consumers," said Muhlhauser. "Their leadership will help Visteon quickly
achieve its goal of becoming the world's leading automotive systems supplier."
Doster spent 18 years at Ford before joining Visteon in 1997 as the global
account director. Doster held a variety of manufacturing and engineering
positions, including chief engineer of Ford's Large and Luxury Car Vehicle
Center. Doster is assembling a Visteon team that delivers leading systems
solutions to Ford.
Stevens joined Visteon last year from Lear Corporation. She has held a
variety of marketing and sales position in the automotive supplier industry
during her 20-year career. Stevens is championing a team that has generated
significant new business from global automotive manufacturers and Tier One
suppliers. Of Visteon's $2.3 billion in new business contracts in 1998,
46 percent is from global manufacturers other than Ford.
Peace joined Visteon from Tenneco Automotive in 1997. He has extensive
marketing and sales experience in the automotive supplier industry, and is now
building a distribution network that will allow Visteon to capitalize on
aftermarket opportunities. Peace and his team have been instrumental in
building a strong Visteon brand by combining multimedia products with value-
added marketing programs.
"We believe this new structure allows us to address customers requirements
in a leaner, more efficient manner," Muhlhauser said. "We expect to be
leading edge not only in our technology, but in our business operations as
well."
Visteon has 82,000 employees and 120 manufacturing, engineering, sales and
technical centers located in 21 countries. Visteon's corporate headquarters
is located in Dearborn, Mich.
