Hertz Named Official Co-Sponsor for Denver Broncos Alumni Pro HandiCup- Hertz and Diet Pepsi Team Up to Support the National Sports Center for the Disabled - PARK RIDGE, N.J., Jan. 27 -- The Hertz Corporation , the world's largest car rental company, has been appointed the official co-sponsor for the 1999 Denver Broncos Alumni Pro HandiCup Race. The triple slalom ski race, taking place during the 24th Annual Wells Fargo Bank Cup weekend, February 5-7, 1999, will be held at Winter Park Resort in Winter Park, CO. Joining Hertz as co-sponsor is Diet Pepsi. The National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD) is a non-profit organization that provides recreation for children and adults with disabilities. Headquartered in Winter Park, CO, the organization has been hailed as the leader in therapeutic recreation, offering the largest and most successful program of its kind in the world. The Wells Fargo Bank Cup is the NSCD's primary fund raiser, earning more than $250,000 for the program annually. Presented by Hertz and Diet Pepsi, The Denver Broncos Alumni Pro HandiCup is a team slalom race that matches Broncos football alumni and disabled athletes. The team event pairs two football legends with two disabled racers from the NSCD with eight squads competing in a triple slalom race. A supporter of the NSCD for more than 10 years, Hertz is also providing car rental certificates for use during the weekend's silent auction, and as prizes for the Denver Broncos Alumni Pro HandiCup and other weekend races.
