Enigma Receives More Than $5 Million in Orders for Software and Services from Rolls-Royce plc
WALTHAM, Mass.--Jan. 26, 1999--Enigma, Inc., the leader in electronic publishing solutions, announced that it has received more than $5 million in orders for software and services from Rolls-Royce plc of Derby, England.
With 1997 revenues of more than (pound sterling)4 Billion, Rolls-Royce is a world leading power systems business, providing cost-effectively engineered products and services to commercial and military customers in propulsion, electrical power and materials handling markets around the world. Customers from the world's leading airlines to executive jet operators rely on their powerful range of commercial aero engines and global support network. Military customers benefit from engines for helicopters, fast jets, trainers and transport aircraft, as well as naval vessels.
"Rolls-Royce first began working with Enigma in 1996, as part of their initiative to reduce costs and improve information delivery within the technical publications and customer support departments," said Nathan Suchami, vice president of aerospace business development at Enigma Inc. "Additionally, it was critical from a support standpoint that customers have access to this data across multiple platforms."
"With Enigma's knowledge management tool, Xtend, the Rolls-Royce customer and supplier base can add their own data to maintenance, training and support publications, effectively repurposing and customizing the electronic publications," continued Suchami. "This enables Rolls-Royce's customers to transition to a paperless environment by providing electronic publications that can incorporate their originated changes (COCs) seamlessly into Rolls-Royce original maintenance data."
