American Quantum Cycles Inc. Announces Racecar Drivers Eddie Cheever, Arie Luyendyk and Billy Boat as Spokespersons


    MELBOURNE, Fla.--Jan. 27, 1999--American Quantum Cycles Inc. (OTC BB:AMQC) today announced that racecar drivers Eddie Cheever, Arie Luyendyk and Billy Boat have become their spokesmen. These drivers are in addition to Kenny Brack the 1998 IRL Champion who was previously announced.
    Arie Luyendyk is a two time winner of the Indy 500 and holds every major speed record at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Arie who is currently in discussions with AMQC for distribution rights in the Netherlands stated "I'm very excited to be working with American Quantum and all the drivers associated with them. I believe they have a great heavy cruiser motorcycle product and that it should sell very well in the Netherlands."
    Eddie Cheever, the 1998 Indy 500 winner, recently won the Indy Race League ("IRL") season opener, the Orlando 200 in Orlando FL on January 24, 1999. Prior to racing in the IRL he raced eight seasons in Formula One. Along with being a driver he is also the owner of Team Cheever.
    Billy Boat, 1998 Indy 500 pole position winner, set an IRL record for winning the most pole positions in a single season. Billy who races for A.J. Foyt Enterprises out of Houston TX, broke all USAC records for consecutive single-series feature wins with 11 straight Western States midget triumphs. "It was easy to sign up to be a spokesperson for American Quantum as their 4-Valve engine head design is very similar to what we use in our racecars", stated Billy Boat.
