Retail Lexus Sales On Rise In South Florida
MIAMI, Jan. 25 -- Aided by the strong debut of the all-new
Lexus RX 300 sport utility vehicle and December's opening of Lexus of Pembroke
Pines, South Florida-area Lexus dealers today reported a 52-percent climb in
1998 retail sales over 1997.
South Florida-area dealers include JM Lexus, Margate; Lexus of Kendall,
Miami; Lexus of Palm Beach; Countyline Lexus, Hollywood; and its companion
store, Lexus of Pembroke Pines.
In addition to the all-new RX 300, sales leaders for the year include GS
300, up 556 percent; GS 400, up 128 percent and LX 470, up 25 percent.
"South Florida consumers have responded real well to Lexus' customer-first
philosophy," said Lexus Southern Area Manager Jim Melton. "In fact, JM Lexus
is the highest volume Lexus dealership anywhere in the world and our other
South Florida dealers are consistently ranked among the nation's highest
selling."
Statewide, Florida's 13 Lexus dealers reported a 51-percent increase in
retail sales over 1997.
