Victoria Guennewig Named Vice President, Public Affairs of Cooper IndustriesHOUSTON, Jan. 22 -- Victoria Guennewig, 48, has been named Vice President, Public Affairs, of Cooper Industries, Inc. , effective February 3, 1999. In her new position, Guennewig will be responsible for public and media relations, financial communications and government affairs and will oversee Cooper's internal and external communications and corporate identity programs. She will also direct the activities of the Cooper Industries Foundation and be responsible for Cooper's charitable giving and community affairs programs. Guennewig joins Cooper from The Coastal Corporation in Houston where she has been Vice President, Public Affairs, since 1997. She previously held management positions in public affairs and marketing communications with Pan Energy, Union Pacific Resources and Transco Energy Company. Guennewig holds a B. A. degree from Trinity College and a M. A. degree in corporate and political communications from Fairfield University in Connecticut.
