Federal-Mogul Awarded Total Engine Sealing Package For New DaimlerChrysler Engine
    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Jan. 20 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation
today announced the company has been awarded its first total
engine sealing package.  The new engine being developed by DaimlerChrysler
is scheduled to launch in model year 2003.  The estimated contract
value is approximately $30 million annually.

with a full array of sealing products of the latest technologies," said

    The new DaimlerChrysler engine will contain approximately 25 different
applications, which Federal-Mogul Corporation will be responsible for sealing.
In addition to the gasket joints and dynamic seals, Federal-Mogul Corporation
will also provide a yet determined number of sealing modules.
