Mobil and Quick Fuel to Co-brand Chain of Commercial Fleet Fueling Locations
FAIRFAX, Va.--Jan. 20, 1999--Mobil Corporation and Quick Fuel, a subsidiary of Jacobus Energy, announced Wednesday their intent to co-brand Quick Fuel's chain of commercial fleet fueling locations.Under the letter of intent, Quick Fuel would increase its supply contract with Mobil and re-image existing sites, new locations under development and its mobile fueling trucks.
The letter of intent also would create a new joint-venture company to expand operations through shared investment opportunities and possible franchise offerings. Quick Fuel would have a majority investment share in the new sites; Mobil would have a minority share. The joint venture would take effect the first quarter of 1999.
Quick Fuel's 38 commercial fleet fueling sites are located in the U.S. throughout the Midwest and South. Seven additional facilities are currently in development or under construction. In addition to the unmanned, cardlock facilities, Quick Fuel also provides on-site truck-to-truck refueling.

Jacobus Energy currently provides wholesale and retail fuel for tens of thousands of customers. The company also collects and recycles used oil and other petroleum-based products.
