Reality Interactive Releases Web-based Training Course on Automotive Quality
MINNEAPOLIS--Jan. 19, 1999--Company also updates multimedia CD-ROMs to reflect QS-9000
Third Edition
Reality Interactive, Inc. (Reality) (OTC BB: RINT), a leader in knowledge management and distance learning solutions, announced today that it has released a new Web-based training course for delivery on corporate intranets. The course, called QS-9000 in the Workplace, is an orientation to the Big Three supplier quality requirements known as QS-9000, and is similar in scope and format to Reality's ISO 9000 quality and ISO 14000 environmental courses for the Web. It provides organization-wide education about automotive quality system concepts.
Reality also announced that it has completed updates of its four QS-9000 Compliance Series multimedia CD-ROMs to reflect the current "Third Edition" QS-9000 requirements. The two products are complementary: the CD-ROM courses address project implementation teams at each site, while the Web course provides an overview that can be rolled out to thousands of people over corporate intranets.
R. Dan Reid of the Big Three Supplier Quality Task Force was one of the original content reviewers of Reality's QS-9000 Compliance Series CD-ROMs, under Reality's cooperative agreement with the Big Three Task Force. Reid reinforced the need for a variety of approaches to support suppliers in sustaining compliance: "There's no doubt that technologies like the Web can play an important role in helping suppliers understand what's expected of them. Using the corporate intranet can keep education costs down, and at the same time ensure accurate information is available to the entire workforce."
