Speedway Children's Charities Unveils State-of-the-Art Mobile Command Center
Your Office USA Donates Transporter and Support Staff

    CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 18 -- Speedway Children's Charities
(SCC) has unveiled a state-of-the-art mobile command center to spearhead
activity at NASCAR and IRL racing and charity events. The command center,
which was announced last week at Charlotte Motor Speedway, is expected to help
SCC double its national assistance to non-profit children's organizations.
Christened the "Speedway Children's Charities/Your Office USA
Transporter," the 53-foot trailer has been designed specifically for the
NASCAR-sanctioned foundation to help expand its nationwide efforts, according
to Bruton Smith, Founder and Chairman of Speedway Children's Charities,
headquartered in Harrisburg, N.C. The transporter, which has been designed
and donated by Andrew King, CEO of Your Office USA, a Charlotte-based national
franchise that specializes in business service centers, will be strategically
located at each Speedway Motorsports, Inc. racing facility, as well as key SCC
charity events throughout the 1999 season.
"Your Office USA's donation of the command post to Speedway Children's
Charities will enable us to greatly expand our funding. We currently support
over 100 non-profit charities impacting the lives of over 122,000 children
annually," said Smith.
According to Smith, use of the mobile command center will enable SCC to
bring together corporate sponsors, racing celebrities and officials interested
in supporting the charities at trackside, while providing the tools to work
comfortably and efficiently in a mobile reception and conference setting. The
transporter is fully equipped with the latest computer technology, telephone
communication, satellite links, audio digital recording equipment, an
executive conference room and temporary sleeping facilities.
Smith added that it would also enhance the production of SCC's pre-race
Internet shows, which directly raise funds for the charities.
The new mobile command center, otherwise billed as "Your Office On
Wheels," was custom built in Detroit for SCC by Your Office USA, the firm that
invented the concept. Speedway Children's Charities' use of the transporter
is one of the earliest major applications of the command center's
state-of-the-art facilities.
According to Andrew King, CEO of Your Office USA, the partnership of
Speedway Children's Charities with his firm sets a benchmark for the future of
mobile offices and charity events at remote locations.
"Those who must conduct business in remote event situations like SCC and
bring together diverse businesses and fund-raisers will find this mobile
office concept invaluable," said King. "Your Office On Wheels sets the stage
for the way executives will work in the next millennium -- anywhere, anytime,
at remote events, at emergency situations, or during business/vacation trips
across the country."
Richard Petty Driving Experience (RPDE) will provide sponsorship by adding
a Speedway Children's Charities Pontiac to their fleet of cars to be utilized
during programs at Charlotte, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Nazareth, New Hampshire,
Richmond, Milwaukee, and St. Louis.
For every lap the car runs at each location, RPDE will donate $1.00 to
Speedway Children's Charities. RPDE operations department predicts the SCC
Pontiac to accumulate between 8,000-10,000 laps during the 1999 season. The
car will be adorned with the number "99" to signify the year. The paint
scheme also includes Your Office USA.
