IPSCO Inc. Announces Appointments of Senior Management
REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN--Jan. 13, 1999--(TSE:IPS) (Alberta Stock Exchange:IPS) IPSCO Inc. announced today a series of appointments at the senior management level of the company.
Mr. John Tulloch has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of IPSCO Inc. In this role he will be responsible for coordinating marketing and sales initiatives of IPSCO's various business units in both the United States and Canada, steel purchasing policies, and the development of long-term corporate market strategies. The company's individual business units will remain responsible for day-to-day sales activities.
Mr. Tulloch was previously Vice President and General Manager, Tubular Products and President of IPSCO's U.S. pipe producing subsidiary, IPSCO Tubulars Inc. In addition to his commercial responsibilities Mr. Tulloch will become Chairman of the Board of IPSCO Tubulars Inc.
Mr. Charles Sanida, who is Vice President and General Manager, Canadian Steel Products of IPSCO Inc., has assumed the added responsibilities as President of IPSCO Saskatchewan Inc., the operating subsidiary responsible for steel production for IPSCO in Canada.
Mr. David Britten has been appointed Vice President and General Manager, Tubular Products of IPSCO Inc. and will become President of IPSCO Tubulars Inc.
Messrs. Tulloch, Sanida, and Britten report to Roger Phillips, President and Chief Executive Officer of IPSCO Inc.
Anne Parker has been named Vice President, Trade Policy and Communications. Ms. Parker is a lawyer and has previously acted as Director of Corporate Communications for the company. In her new role she will report to Mr. Tulloch.
