Ford Credit Appoints Operations and Technology President
    DEARBORN, Jan. 11 -- Terry Chenault has been named executive
vice president, Ford Credit Global Operations and Technology, effective
immediately.
    In his new position, Chenault reports to Ford Credit Chairman Philippe
Paillart and is responsible for Ford Credit's information technology and
operating processes worldwide.
    Chenault joins Ford from American Express where he most recently served as
Senior Vice President, Credit Utility and Regional Operations.  In this
position, he was responsible for the company's credit management operations,
providing leadership and growth to its lending business.  During his 20-year
career at American Express, he held a variety of management positions in
Credit Operations, Customer Service and Quality Assurance.  He holds a Master
of Science in Engineering from Arizona State University.
    "Terry's new perspectives and strong record of success will be a great
