CTS Corporation Announces Promotion of Kazuo Kuroki to Representative Director and President of CTS Japan, Inc. Sales Office
ELKHART, Ind.--Jan. 11, 1999--Kazuo Kuroki, a native of Yokohama, Japan, and the first Japanese national hired by CTS to both establish a sales office and develop a CTS presence in Japan, has been promoted to the position of Representative Director and President, CTS Japan, Inc. Sales Office, according to an announcement today by Donald R. Schroeder, Vice President Sales and Marketing, CTS Corporation. "Kazuo has made a significant contribution to the visibility of CTS Corporation in Japan and has successfully increased the sales revenue of CTS electronic component products into the Japanese automotive and computer equipment markets," according to Schroeder. Prior to his promotion, Kuroki held the position of Japan Business Development Director for CTS.Mr. Kuroki is a 1954 graduate of the National University of Yokohama where he received his Bachelor of Engineering degree, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He worked in Customer Engineering positions until 1957 when he accepted a position with IBM Pakistan. Mr. Kuroki steadily advanced in numerous positions with IBM, most notably Field Sales Manager, Tokyo (1961-1964); Marketing, Office Products (1964-1972); New Products Planning, IBM Lexington, Kentucky, (1973-1976); Marketing Branch Manager, Tokyo (1977-1978); Manager, Management Development (1978-1984); and Marketing, IBM Japan Headquarters (1984-1989).
In 1989, Mr. Kuroki accepted the Japan Business Development Director's position and has steadily increased CTS' sales revenue, a testimony to the success Kuroki's presence has made in the Japanese marketplace. His staff is responsible for all direct sales and field applications engineering activities, as well as sales representatives and product distribution management in Japan. The CTS Sales Office, which outgrew previous facilities, recently moved to new, modern office facilities at TVP Building, 2F, 3-9-13 Moriya-cho, Kanagawa-ku, Yokohama 221-0022, Japan, Phone: 81-45-450-2363, Fax: 81-45-450-2241.
