Lexus Selects nSTREAMS Digital Media Server for Automotive Tradeshow Video Equipment


    SANTA CLARA, Calif.--Jan. 8th, 1999--nSTREAMS Technologies, Inc. announced today that its "Point Of Presence" digital media server popSTREAMS(TM) is selected by Lexus Automobile Co. as the standard video source equipment for automotive tradeshows in the United States.
    Lexus is equipping each automotive tradeshow with popSTREAMS(TM) servers to feed all the monitors and video walls with scheduled and random selected programming from MPEG-2 encoded videos. The exhibition and presentation are designed to showcase Lexus' latest and finest automobiles.
    The video programming, presentations and schedules are prepared by The Lawrence Company of Los Angeles with equipment obtained from A-Vidd Electronics of Long Beach. The first two automotive tradeshows Lexus exhibits are The 1999 Greater Los Angeles Auto Show in Los Angeles and The 1999 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
    The same equipment will be rotated among all the North American automotive tradeshows.
