Kysor Cooling Systems Honored by Navistar

    CADILLAC, Mich.--Jan. 6, 1999--Kysor Cooling Systems received the Supplier Product Certification award today from Navistar International Corporation. The prestigious award is presented to suppliers who consistently deliver products that meet or exceed customer expectations. The award represents the highest level of certification by Navistar and was presented at Kysor's Cadillac facility, which produces engine cooling components, including FailSafe(TM) On/Off Fan Clutches and viscous fan drives.
    "Only eight percent of Navistar's approximately 750 suppliers have achieved product certification," explained Martha Baldosser, supplier development manager of Navistar. "We have an excellent joint relationship with Kysor, who provides Navistar with high quality products and excellent service."
    The certification process establishes a disciplined approach for improving product quality and reducing its associated costs. Key elements include achievement and maintenance of an acceptable quality system, documented evidence of product controls and capability, and demonstration of the ability to provide quality products consistently over time.
    Kysor Cooling Systems' Cadillac operation is a QS-9000 registered manufacturing facility that produces fan clutches and drives, radiator shutters, and control systems for on- and off-highway commercial vehicles, automobiles and industrial applications.
