Budget Rent a Car Executive Vice President Resigns

    DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Jan. 5 -- Budget Group, Inc. ,
today announced that Jeff Hendrickson, executive vice president, North
American Rental Operations and Sales & Marketing of Budget Rent a Car
Corporation and senior vice president, Budget Group, Inc., has resigned from
the company to pursue other interests.
    Hendrickson joined Budget in May 1997 as senior vice president and general
manager of U.S. Rental Operations.
    Budget Group, Inc. is a global network of vehicle rental and sales
companies operating in three principal segments:  Car Rental, Truck Rental and
