Budget Group Promotes Mark Sotir to President, Budget Rent a Car, North America
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Jan. 5 -- Budget Group, Inc. ,
today announced that Mark Sotir, 35, has been promoted to president of Budget

the company in the areas of marketing and advertising, pricing and revenue
management, worldwide reservations and operations.
Previously, as senior vice president, Worldwide Marketing for Budget Rent
a Car, Sotir was instrumental in developing state-of-the-art revenue and

Budget, a one-of-a-kind travel agent reward program featuring a MasterCard(R)
debit card; Perfect Drive, an all-new customer loyalty program with more than
500,000 members; and Fastbreak, the company's express service with paperless
transactions. Sotir was also vital to the launch of Budget's web site:
http://www.drivebudget.com, which now has its own booking engine and has been
very effective in generating online reservations.
"Mark's worldwide marketing, management and operations expertise coupled
with his innovative approach to driving revenue and building the Budget brand
make him ideally suited to run the company's North American operations,"
states Sandy Miller, chairman and CEO of Budget Group.
Prior to joining Budget, Sotir spent six years at the Coca-Cola Company,
most recently as group marketing manager. Sotir received a bachelor's degree

Administration from Harvard Business School.
