Auto Recyclers, Inc. Opens 40,000 SF Production and Distribution Facility
HALTOM CITY, Texas, Jan. 5 -- Today, Auto Recyclers, Inc.,
the largest auto recycler in the Southwest, begins all production and
distribution from its new 40,000 SF facility located at 1551 Carson in Haltom
City, Texas. This new facility will allow production to triple to a maximum
of 4,000 recycled autos at this location. With the new facility, Auto
Recyclers, Inc. will have the ability to process more than 10,000 at all its
Texas locations.
Auto Recyclers, Inc. is a recently created consolidation of four Texas
auto recyclers operating seven outlets in major metropolitan areas across the
state. Upon completion of the acquisition of Dallas based First Choice Auto
Parts in November, President and CEO Mr. Ron Sturgeon comments, "This new
facility will ensure continued growth of our operations and increase the level
of quality and service we provide." He adds, "The market place requires LKQ
parts, (Like, Kind and Quality compared to OEM parts) and our new production
and distribution facility allows us to meet and exceed our customers
expectations in this area."
Auto recycling is a highly fragmented $6 billion industry with over
7,000 independent operators nationwide. As technology revolutionizes the
typical "mom and pop" business, they have become attractive to consolidators
and investors. Accordingly, the industry is currently undergoing a period of
great change.
Vice President of Operations, Mr. Paul Parker, says, "A facility of this
size is unprecedented in the auto recycling business and demonstrates our
investment and commitment to our customers, vendors and employees."
Auto Recyclers, Inc. is a partner of United Recyclers Group, (URG) a
recently formed business coalition of 360 auto recyclers throughout North
America. Jay Raimondi, President of URG, states, "There are active
consolidators working in our industry, which will change it dramatically over
the next 12-24 months. The consumer will be the winner as awareness of
recycled parts increases, along with the quality and service provided." He
adds, "Only 5% of the motoring public think to use recycled parts, so there is
a lot of room for growth."
