Snap-on to Debut Advanced Transmission Fluid Exchanger in 1999

SANTA ANA, Calif.--Jan. 4, 1999--MotorVac Technologies Inc. Monday announced that Snap-on Diagnostics will distribute MotorVac's new electronic automatic transmission fluid exchanger through its network of technical representatives.
The machine, known as the TRANSTECH(R) II ATF Exchanger, will be available in early 1999.
"The TRANSTECH(R) II is the result of the knowledge we've gained and the success we've achieved with our first ATF exchanger, the TRANSTECH(R)," said Lee Melody, president and chief executive officer of MotorVac. "TRANSTECH(R) II is a fully automatic exchanger that will enable auto repair centers to service transmissions more efficiently than ever before."
In addition to features on the original model, TRANSTECH(R) II has a "one touch" electronic interface, dual tanks for environmentally-safe fluid exchange and sensors that notify technicians when a service is complete. "The best thing about TRANSTECH(R) II is the one-to-one exchange capability," said Melody. "It's a feature that actually gauges the amount of fluid to exchange
-- with just a push of the button."
The TRANSTECH(R) II (patent pending) also has an on-board pump system that speeds up service; during development tests, it was able to exchange virtually 100 percent of used fluid with new in approximately 15 minutes.
Snap-on's agreement to distribute the TRANSTECH(R) II is the latest in a continuing relationship between the world's leading supplier of automotive diagnostic and repair equipment and the California-based technology company. "The relationship we've forged with Snap-on started with our MotorVac CarbonClean machines and has grown to include the TRANSTECH and now the TRANSTECH II(R)," said Melody.
"As a team, I look forward to introducing the TRANSTECH(R) II to the automotive industry. We believe that it's the most user-friendly exchanger ever made."
