Federal-Mogul Announces Organizational Appointments, National Accounts, Worldwide Aftermarket
    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Jan. 4 -- Michael L. Schultz, vice
president, national accounts - Americas, Worldwide Aftermarket, Federal-Mogul
Corporation , announces the following organizational appointments
effective immediately:

    * Frank Garcia, general manager, Weston international distribution center
    * Fernando Herz, general manager, Argentina
    * Noel Lang, sales and marketing manager, Brazil
    * Francisco Montejano, human resources manager, Latin America
    * Mario Pieroni, director, national accounts
    * Joe Pomaranski, director, national accounts
    * Julio Rodriguez, financial manager, Latin America
    * Carl Smith, director - export, Middle East, Europe
    * Manuel Torres, general manager, Mexico
    * Jose Viani, general manager, Federal-Mogul de Venezuela C.A.

    Frank Garcia, General Manager, Weston International Distribution Center
    Frank Garcia is appointed general manager, Weston international
distribution center in Florida.
    Prior to this appointment, Garcia held the position of manager, sales and
administration, Weston.  Garcia has held various sales, product, and
operations management positions since he joined Federal-Mogul in 1985.
    Garcia earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from
Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island.

    Fernando Herz, General Manager, Argentina
    Fernando Herz continues in his role as general manager, Argentina, for the
Aftermarket group.
    Prior to his current position, Herz served as general manager, LaPlata
manufacturing.  Since 1980, Herz has held various management positions, such
as general manager, Mexico, general manager, Belgium, and general manager,
Argentina.
    Herz earned a Master of Arts degree in engineering from Carnegie Mellon
University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

    Noel Lang, Sales and Marketing Manager, Brazil
    Noel Lang is appointed sales and marketing manager, Brazil.
    Prior to this appointment, Noel held the position of regional sales
manager, Brazil aftermarket, for T&N.  Since 1994, Noel has held positions
within T&N's Brazil aftermarket sales operations.
    Lang earned a Master's degree in marketing/foreign trade from the American
Graduate School of International Management in Phoenix, Arizona.

    Francisco Montejano, Human Resources Manager, Latin America
    Francisco Montejano continues in his role as human resources manager,
Latin America.
    Francisco joined Federal-Mogul in October 1998 from Allegiance HealthCare
Corporation where he held the position of director of human resources.  He has
extensive human resources management experience throughout the United States
and Mexico.
    Montejano earned a Bachelor of business administration degree from the
University of Texas at El Paso and is a certified professional in human
resources.

    Mario Pieroni, Director, National Accounts
    Mario Pieroni is appointed director, national accounts.
    Prior to this appointment, Pieroni held the position of vice president,
special market sales.  Mario joined Federal-Mogul from the Fel-Pro acquisition
in early 1998.  Mario has held various management positions within the sales
and marketing organizations during his career within Fel-Pro and Federal-
Mogul.

    Joe Pomaranski, Director, National Accounts
    Joe Pomaranski has been appointed director, national accounts.
    Pomaranski joins Federal-Mogul from Cooper Automotive with over 20 years
of sales management experience.  Prior to this appointment, Pomaranski held
the position of vice president, special markets.  Joe has held various sales
management positions, including the vice president of retail sales, vice
president of warehouse distributor sales and national account executive for
Cooper Automotive.
    Pomaranski earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Salem
College in Salem, West Virginia.

    Julio Rodriguez, Financial Manager, Latin America
    Julio Rodriguez continues in his role as financial manager, Latin America.
    Julio joined Federal-Mogul in January 1998 from Chiquita Brands
International where he held the position of director of finance and
administration.  Julio has extensive accounting and financial management
experience with companies throughout the United States and Latin America.
    Rodriguez earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Bachelor
of Science degree in business administration from Andres Bello Catholic
University in Caracas, Venezuela.

    Carl Smith, Director - Export, Middle East, Europe
    Carl Smith is appointed director - export, Middle East, Europe.
    Smith joins Federal-Mogul from Cooper Automotive where he most recently
held the position of vice president of International.  For 22 years, Smith has
held various international management positions, including the past four years
with Cooper Automotive.  Additionally, Smith brings 29 years of Sealed Power
experience in special tools and engine parts.
    Smith earned a Bachelor's degree in marketing from Michigan State
University.

    Manuel Torres, General Manager, Mexico
    Manuel Torres is appointed general manager, Mexico.
    Torres joins Federal-Mogul from Cooper Automotive, where since 1989,
Manual has been the managing director, Latin America for Cooper Automotive,
Ignition Products.  Previously, Manuel held various management positions with
companies throughout the United States and Mexico.
    Torres earned a Master's degree in business administration from Arizona
State University.

    Jose Viani, General Manager, Federal-Mogul de Venezuela C.A.
    Jose Viani continues in his role as general manager, Federal-Mogul de
Venezuela C.A.
    Prior to his current position, Viani served as retail manager, Venezuela.
Since 1985, he has held various management position within Federal-Mogul de
Venezuela, including retail manager, operations manager, and controller.
Viani earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and
economics with a minor in marketing from the University of Kansas.
