    TROY, Mich., Jan. 4 -- JATO Dynamics, Inc. and the AUTOFACTS
Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers today, January 4, 1999, announced their
collaboration in the development of a new Internet-based system to track and
analyze sales incentives in the automotive sector.
    Suzanne B. Kinsler of AUTOFACTS described the benefits of the joint
venture, "Our alliance with JATO delivers the integration of our U.S. sales
incentives with JATO's vehicle pricing, specifications, and volumes data,
providing our clients a comprehensive view of the market forces driving
incentive activity.  The new system will provide the analytical basis for the
strategic development of automotive marketing initiatives, including
incentives, pricing strategies, brand management and distribution strategies."
    David L. Mingle, U.S. Business Operations Manager for JATO, affirmed the

    Describing the new system, David McCluskey, JATO's Product Manager for

    The JATOnet Sales Incentives System -- which will be available beginning
early 1999 -- will allow the user to see in detail the latest customer,

The system's unique analytical facilities will highlight changes in incentive
activity and show the underlying competitive trends.
    Using Internet technology, the system will provide continuously updated
information, with historical data for the U.S. available back to 1990.
    An easy-to-use, intuitive interface and powerful query function enable the
rapid interrogation and understanding of the current market situation.
    Analytical and reporting modules allow the user to tailor the system to
their own perspective of the market.  The analyst will be able to customize
queries to their own segmentation and regional definitions.  A valuation model
will enable the benchmarking of program spending by model, region and over
time, while an aggregation model is planned that will give the "big picture"
on incentive spending at the make, model, and segment level.
