Top Drivers Headline Motorsports Expo '99NOVI, Mich., Dec. 28 -- Appearances by NASCAR Winston Cup stars Rusty Wallace, Terry Labonte and Ernie Irvan, plus drag racing legend Shirley Muldowney, will be top attractions at Motorsports Expo '99. This family-oriented fan fair takes place at the Novi Expo Center on Saturday, January 2, 1999 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 3, 1999 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Also appearing will be NASCAR great Ned Jarrett, IRL competitors Scott Goodyear and Andy Michener, Busch Grand National drivers Tim Fedewa and Ed Berrier, NHRA racers Darrell Alderman, Whit Bazemore and Mike Dunn, 1998 ASA champion Gary St. Amant, IHRA Pro Stock drivers Chris Holbrook and Stewart Evans, World of Outlaws stars Karl and Mark Kinser and unlimited hydroplane driver Mark Weber. Kids of all ages can enjoy activities such as getting their photo taken in a real race car and playing exciting video racing games. They can watch live radio control racing or even test their own skills against other attendees. Other highlights of Motorsports Expo '99 include race team and souvenir trailers, corporate racing and track exhibits and show vehicles from all forms of racing. Special guest vehicles include the M&M's Pontiac and the Kellogg's Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Show goers can also win prizes such as race tickets and rare autographed collectible items throughout the weekend. In addition, Vendor Alley features Michigan's widest selection of racing memorabilia and collectibles including die cast vehicles, wearables, posters, automotive art and autographed items. The Motorsports Hall of Fame's own exhibit at Expo '99 will showcase a Cyber Sweepstakes offering a Grand Prize "Evening with the Stars." The winner will receive a pair of premium tickets to this prestigious black tie event and banquet, complete with complimentary limousine service and formalwear. Admission to Expo '99 is $7.00 for adults, $4.00 for children age 6-12 and free for children under age six. Admission includes free parking and entrance into the Motorsports Hall of Fame. All proceeds from the show benefit the ongoing programs of the nonprofit Motorsports Hall of Fame. The Novi Expo Center is located at I-96 and Novi Road, exit 162.
