Vickers Acquires M.C. Aerospace
MAUMEE, Ohio--Dec. 21, 1998--Aeroquip-Vickers, Inc. announced today that its Vickers, Incorporated subsidiary has purchased all of the outstanding capital stock of M.C. Aerospace Corporation.Located in Lake Orion, Michigan, M.C. Aerospace designs, develops and manufactures high-precision hydraulic and pneumatic components for military and commercial aircraft and military land vehicles. Its product lines include hydraulic and pneumatic valves, pumps, compressors and drives.

Aerospace has served the nation's leading aerospace manufacturers for nearly 60 years, and the synergies it brings to Vickers' aerospace business will expand business opportunities with our worldwide customer base," said Darryl F. Allen, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Aeroquip-Vickers.
"M.C. Aerospace designs and manufactures products complementary to those produced by Vickers' fluid power and actuation and control operations," said Larry Deininger, group vice president of Vickers' Aerospace Marine Defense Group. "This acquisition enhances our current momentum programs and aftermarket support while gaining us a number of applications on new military programs that are expected to generate significant revenue over the next several years."
