Insilco Continues European Expansion -- Acquires Second Ireland Facility
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 17 -- Insilco Holding Co.
(OTC BULLETIN BOARD: INSL) announced today that it has expanded its presence
in Europe with the acquisition of Martin Electronics, its second Ireland
facility acquired within the past three months. Martin Electronics,
headquartered in Larne, Northern Ireland, is a specialty manufacturer of
electronic cable assemblies and wire harnesses with 1997 revenues of
approximately $5.6 million.
The acquisition, which comes three months after the purchase of Telemara
International, a cable harness assembly manufacturer located in Carraroe,

foothold for cable assembly and contract manufacturing. Its presence in
Ireland enables Insilco to accommodate the anticipated growth in the European
wireless, networking, telecommunications, and cable assembly markets. The new
facility will reduce lead-time to European clients and provide support to
customers such as Nortel, ITT Cannon, ITT Network Systems, and 3M.

publications. The Company's industrial business units serve the automotive,
