A. Schulman Receives Most Improved Supplier Award

    AKRON, Ohio--Dec. 16, 1998--A. Schulman, Inc. has received Johnson Controls' Most Improved Supplier Award. A. Schulman supplies copolymer polypropylene to the division of Johnson Controls formerly known as the Prince Corporation in Holland, Michigan. These materials are primarily used for interior door trim components.
    Kraig Boeve, corporate purchaser for Johnson Controls' Automotive Products Division, presented the award to Terry L. Haines, president and CEO of A. Schulman, and Larry A. Kushkin, A. Schulman's executive vice president of international automotive operations. According to Boeve, "A. Schulman is part of a very select group of ten 1998 award receipts out of a total of 300 suppliers. Our standards become more stringent every year, and we're very pleased with A. Schulman's ability to provide products, technology and service of the highest quality."
