DaimlerChrysler Supervisory Board ConstitutedSTUTTGART, Germany, Dec. 16 -- The DaimlerChrysler Supervisory Board came together today for its constituent meeting in Stuttgart. According to German Co-determination Law, the Supervisory Board consists of ten shareholder and ten employee representatives. The Supervisory Board elected Hilmar Kopper as Chairman, and appointed the DaimlerChrysler Management Board. The ten employee representatives were appointed on December 15 by the Stuttgart Register Court. In its first meeting, the Supervisory Board elected Karl Feuerstein, Chairman of the Corporate Labor Council, DaimlerChrysler in Germany, as Vice Chairman. The Board also established the Presidential Committee, which is responsible for deciding the service contracts and other contractual matters in relation to the Board of Management, and statutory approvals pursuant to the German Stock Corporation Act. The Presidential Committee consists of Hilmar Kopper, Karl Feuerstein, Dr. Manfred Schneider, and Bernhard Wurl.
