Hayes Lemmerz International Receives Five Contracts for Aluminum Wheels for Fiat's Alfa Romeo and Lancia
ROMULUS, MI--December 16, 1998--Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc. , the world's leading supplier of wheels and brake components to the automotive and commercial highway industries, today announced that its European Aluminum Wheel division received five contracts from Fiat for aluminum wheels.
The Hayes contracts were for Fiat's Alfa Romeo vehicle projects, Fiat's Lancia, and Fiat's Palio. The Alfa Romeo has been selected "European Car of the Year '98." The Fiat Palio is noted for being Fiat's first world car.
The orders will be filled by the company's plant in Dello, Italy. That plant is also responsible for the fulfillment of contracts from BMW, Renault, Alfa Romeo, Porsche, and PSA Group.
