Larsen Named CWC Castings President - Kelly Retires
    TROY, Mich., Dec. 15 -- Textron Automotive Company (TAC)
announced today that effective January 1, 1999, Jed A. Larsen has been
appointed President of TAC's CWC Castings Division headquartered in Muskegon,
Michigan.  He succeeds John Kelly, who is retiring.
    Since July 1990, Mr. Larsen, 57, has been serving as Vice President of
Marketing and Sales.  From 1983-1990, he served as Vice President of
Manufacturing.  Prior to that, he held various managerial positions within CWC
including Plant Manager in several of the company's Muskegon Operations.
Prior to joining CWC in 1969 as an Industrial Engineer, Mr. Larsen served in
the U.S. Navy and worked at LTV Corporation and General Motors as a Project
Engineer.
    "Jed was instrumental in developing CWC business and acquiring Kaywood
Operations located in Jackson, Michigan -- CWC's most recent acquisition,"
said Mr. Kelly, CWC's current and retiring President.  "Jed's strong knowledge
of the foundry industry, combined with his manufacturing expertise and
leadership abilities will be important assets to achieving CWC's growth
goals," said John A. Janitz, TAC's Chairman, President, and CEO.
    Mr. Larsen received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from
Michigan Technological University.
    Mr. Kelly, 62, has elected to retire as the President of CWC.  He has been
CWC's President since 1983 and has served in several senior managerial
positions at CWC since 1974.  "We wish to extend sincere appreciation to John
Kelly for his years of dedicated service and leadership," said Janitz.
