Systran Corp. and Aerotech World Trade Ltd. Announce Extended Line of IP Module Carrier Boards

    DAYTON, Ohio--Dec. 15, 1998--Systran Corp., developer of the I/O Solutions(TM) line of IP Modules and carriers and Aerotech World Trade Ltd., exclusive worldwide distributor of Systran's I/O Solutions today announced several new additions to the I/O Solutions line of IP Module carrier boards. Five new IP Module carriers in the PCI, VME, and CompactPCI(R) form factors provide IP Module support for today's most popular computing platforms. The new carriers, along with Systran's VMESC5 five-slot VME6U carrier, ISASC6 six-slot ISA carrier, and VME3SC2 two-slot VME3U carrier, allow Aerotech to provide unparalleled carrier support for IP mezzanine users. New carriers include:

1.   The PCISC5 is a full size PCI slave carrier which supports up to
     five single-wide IP modules, up to two double-wide IP Modules, or
     a combination of double-wide and single-wide modules. The PCISC5
     features interrupt, and memory transfers on all five slots.
2.   The VMESC4M is a VME6U slave carrier which supports up to four
     single-wide IP modules, two double-wide IP Modules, or a
     combination of double-wide and single-wide modules. The VMESC4M
     features interrupt, and memory transfers on all four slots.
3.   The CPCISC4 is a CompactPCI 6U slave carrier which supports up to
     four single-wide IP modules, two double-wide IP Modules, or a
     combination of double-wide and single-wide modules. It features
     ID, I/O, interrupt, and memory transfers on all four slots.
4.   The CPCISC2 is a CompactPCI 3U slave carrier which supports up to
     two single-wide IP modules or one double-wide IP Module. It
     features ID, I/O, interrupt, and memory transfers on both slots.
5.   The PCISC3 is a 1/2-length PCI short card carrier, which
     accommodates up to three single-wide IP modules, or one
     double-wide and one single-wide IP module. It features ID, I/O,
     interrupt, and memory transfers on all three slots. Availability
     of the PCISC3 is slated for January 1999.
