Federal-Mogul Announces Agreement to Acquire Camshaft Operations of Crane Technologies
    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Dec. 10 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation
, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with the
Crane Technologies Group, Inc., to acquire certain of its camshaft machining
operations.
    "The acquisition of these operations provides Federal-Mogul with
manufacturing capacity necessary for our future growth," said Frank Tomes,
executive vice president, General Products.
    The camshaft operations are located in Orland, Indiana and Jackson,
Michigan.  They employ approximately 230 people with sales of over $36
million.  Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
    Federal-Mogul's Camshaft Group offers three major camshaft technologies --
castings, barstock and assembled -- from focused manufacturing locations
around the world.
