    NEW YORK--Dec. 10, 1998--Sequa Corporation has declared a regular quarterly dividend of $1.25 per share on its $5.00 cumulative convertible preferred stock. The quarterly dividend is payable February 1, 1999 to stockholders of record January 12, 1999.
