Diemer Elected An Officer Of AlliedSignal
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J.--Dec. 10, 1998--AlliedSignal Inc. announced today that Richard J. Diemer, Jr., Vice President and Controller, has been elected an officer of the company.
"Rich has been instrumental in helping us strengthen financial controls throughout the company," said Larry Bossidy, chairman and chief executive officer. "He also led a team that significantly reduced the cycle time of our quarterly accounting process, which enables us to release earnings a full week earlier. We're pleased to have Rich as an integral part of the leadership team."
Diemer joined AlliedSignal in 1997 as Assistant Controller and became Controller early this year. Prior to that, he was with KPMG Peat Marwick for 17 years, serving in the U.S. and London. He was partner in the firm's U.S. capital markets group from 1993 to 1995, and partner in its information, communications and entertainment practice from 1995 to 1997.
Diemer is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where he earned a B.S. in commerce with a concentration in accounting. He is also a certified public accountant.
