ESG Expands Operation With New Greenville S.C. Office
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Dec. 9 -- The Engineering Services Group
(ESG), a manufacturing engineering services company headquartered in
Southfield, Michigan, announced that it has opened a Southern Regional Office
in Greenville, South Carolina. The company expects to have 30 employees in
their new facility by the end of the year 2000, with an investment of
approximately $5.3 million.
"ESG's expansion into the southeastern United States is the result of the
increased demand of our clients for integrated manufacturing engineering
solutions, and acknowledges the overall business potential of Greenville
County", said Michael J. Marlo, President/CEO. "It also reflects the
continued growth of ESG as a whole. Further, we are excited to be a corporate
citizen of Greenville County, and look forward to contributing to the
continued growth and expansion of this area."
The Southern Regional Office is located in the Dillon Building, 700
Executive Center Drive, Suite 150, Greenville, SC, 29615. The phone number is
864-234-8660; the fax number is 864-234-8661. ESG's new office will initially
serve clients in South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky and
Virginia.
Established in 1988, ESG has emerged as an industry leader by providing
totally integrated manufacturing engineering solutions to the Big Three
automakers, other automotive OEMs and suppliers, and major manufacturers in
non-automotive fields such as construction machinery, appliance and aircraft.
Distinguished by its experience in lean manufacturing processes and cutting-
edge application of information technology, ESG's services have improved the
manufacturing operations of its clients and helped get their products to
market faster and more effectively. In addition to its domestic projects, ESG
continues to establish a foreign presence with current projects in China,
Mexico, England, and Brazil.
"ESG's move into Greenville is evidence of the area's growing presence as
a hub for regional operations", said Bob Hughes, Vice Chair for Economic
Development for the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce. "This investment
will bring more high-paying jobs to our community, not to mention another
well-regarded corporate citizen with a vested interest in Greenville's growth
and prosperity."
ESG's consistent growth over its ten-year history has earned recognition
on national and local levels. In October, ESG was named to the prestigious
Inc. 500, a list of America's fastest-growing companies published by Inc.
Magazine. ESG is also a four-time member of the "Future 50 of Greater
Detroit", which acknowledges the 50 fastest growing companies in the
metropolitan Detroit area. Additionally, ESG is one of only eight firms to be
named to Michigan's Private 100 for the fifth year in a row, a ranking which
measured employment and sales growth figures against other firms throughout
the state of Michigan.
