TECO Energy Named Official Energy Supplier To Walt Disney World(R) Indy 200(R) Speedway Event

    TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 7 -- TECO Energy and the Pep Boys
Indianapolis Racing League (IRL) announced today that TECO Energy will serve
as the Official Energy Supplier to the 1999 TransWorld Diversified Services
Indy 200(R) at Walt Disney World(R) Speedway January 24. The agreement marks
an expansion of TECO Energy's marketing partnership with Disney's Wide World
of Sports(TM) Complex.
    TECO Energy has negotiated a 2-for-1 race ticket offer for its customers
of both Tampa Electric and Peoples Gas. Details on the offer can be found in
the customer newsletters inserted with bills delivered in December.
    Twenty-eight drivers are expected to compete in the 1999 race which
features open-wheel Indianapolis Motor Speedway-type racing. The sport
features some of the top names in motorsports, including multi-time Indy 500
winner A.J. Foyt as a team owner.
    Driver Raul Boesel will appear with the #30 TransWorld Racing/McCormack
Motorsports car at TECO Plaza in downtown Tampa at 702 N. Franklin Street Mall
Tuesday December 8 from 11:00 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. Raul will sign autographs
and TransWorld representatives will distribute racing promotional gifts.
